How does the subscription work?
FARAH offers two plans: $4.99/month or $39.99/year (saves 33%). Both auto-renew unless you cancel. You can cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings — no awkward emails to us required. Three free recipe generations let you try the app before subscribing.
Does FARAH need an internet connection?
Yes — the AI that identifies your ingredients and writes the recipes runs in the cloud. The app needs internet to generate. Recipes you've already opened can be re-read offline.
Do you store my fridge photos?
No. Photos are sent through a secure proxy to identify ingredients, then discarded. We don't keep them, we don't train on them, we don't share them. See our privacy policy for details.
How accurate is the ingredient recognition?
Pretty good for most fridges with reasonable lighting. It works best when ingredients are visible — not buried in containers or hidden in drawers. You can always edit the list before generating recipes.
What happens if I get a recipe in the wrong language?
FARAH writes recipes in whatever language you've selected in preferences. If something comes back in the wrong language, switch the setting and regenerate. If it keeps happening, email us.
How do I change my dietary preferences after onboarding?
Tap the gear icon at the top right of the home screen. You can change cuisines, dietary needs, time, difficulty, and language any time.
Where exactly does the 10% donation go?
10% of every FARAH subscription dollar goes to Ouena, a Palestinian-American 501(c)(3) doing food and medical aid in Gaza. We send donations monthly from our App Store / Play Store payouts. Ouena's work and financials are public on their site.
Why doesn't FARAH support [my favorite cuisine]?
We started with eighteen cuisines covering most of the world's major culinary traditions, but there are always more. Email us with what's missing — we add cuisines based on demand.
