Privacy policy

The short version: We don't have accounts. We don't store your photos. We don't sell your data. The app keeps your preferences on your phone. AI processing happens through a secure proxy and discards your data after processing.

What we collect

Photos you submit. When you take or pick a photo, FARAH sends it through our secure proxy to an AI service (Anthropic's Claude API) for ingredient identification. The image is processed in real time and is not stored on our servers, the proxy, or in any database we control.

Ingredients and preferences. Your selected cuisines, dietary needs, language, time and difficulty preferences are stored locally on your device. They never leave your phone.

Usage counters. Free recipe count and pro unlock status are stored locally on your device. We don't track this on our servers.

Children's privacy

FARAH is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has used FARAH, contact us at hello@getfarah.app.

Your rights

Since we don't have accounts and don't store your data on our servers, you can erase everything by uninstalling the app. There's nothing for us to delete for you because nothing is on our side.

If you're in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA respectively. Reach out via email and we'll help.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything material here, we'll update the date at the top and note what changed. For meaningful changes, we'll notify you in the app.
